The climate crisis impacts us all. It’s just as much about social justice as it is environmental justice. It’s just as much about access to food as agriculture. It’s just as much about democratic rights as air pollution. It’s just as much about a global pandemic as global warming.
In 2020 our products have been in high demand due to the pandemic of COVID-19 and wildfires raging in many parts of the world. As our community grows, so does our impact. If this year has taught us anything, it’s that we all can—and must—do more to create a better tomorrow.
We started Airinum to empower humans to breathe clean air and to educate people about air pollution caused by climate change. Our mission ahead is to keep pushing for change and put pressure on policymakers for a cleaner world.
Collaborations with a bigger purpose
The first step in collectively improving the air we breathe is using our platform and community to spread knowledge about the problems with air pollution. We do this by sharing information and data about air pollution and how air quality affects your health, short and long term. Another effort from our end is doing design collaborations with a bigger purpose. By partnering up with artists, designers and institutions who share our point of view, we can use our shared platforms to reach more people with our message.
These design collaborations have been a part of Airinum’s DNA from the start, and in 2020 alone we launched collaborations with French fashion designer Marine Serre, the world renowned institution Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and American outerwear brand Woolrich. All sales from these collections are donated to support environmental initiatives committed to improve the air we breathe.
Proud member of 1% for the Planet
Another measure we have taken to be a positive force towards a cleaner and healthier planet is to become a member of the international organization 1% for the Planet. 1% for the Planet is an alliance of businesses that understand the necessity of protecting the natural environment. The intent is to help fund diverse environmental organizations so that collectively they can be a more powerful source in solving the world’s problems.
This partnership serves our mission to raise awareness about air pollution, put pressure on policymakers and inspire more people to join the movement towards a cleaner world. As a member of 1% for the Planet, we connect and build long term relationships with environmental nonprofit partners who work to advocate, conserve, steward, educate and activate to create a healthy, vibrant future for our planet.
With the year of 2020 coming to an end, we are working harder and faster than ever before to bring you more innovative products to improve your health and to create a change for a better planet with cleaner air.
